Catching up - during travel

In last 4 week, this is my 3rd travel and I am behind schedule on (a) checking emails on my office ID (b) following up on some of the office work. However, it is also helping me define the priorities to get the most out of the time I have at my disposal. Some examples of that:
  1. Time I had to set up home, to go on 5-km walk with Riri everyday (while i was in Japan, which was not more than 3-4 days :-( )
  2. Time I have to do Yoga - despite being in hectic training/meeting schedule in GZ (often starting at 730am and ending with dinner)
  3. Sharing my throughts - by writing blog
  4. Engaging in 15 min or some times 5 min conversations with my team members in Beijing or in Japan or even with Riri.
  5. Alas, I can't talk to kids since Tvishi already sent an SOS message with title "I want to come back". However, I am sure they are getting very important lessons of life - given that they are with parents who raised us. I cherish the time I had/have with both my grand mothers. So many important lessons of life were passed just by talking/watching them (and even taking care of me). Thus, the choice I am making by not taking Tvishi/Ansh is also the right one - for sure - at least for them :)

In Cincinnati -Jun 07

This is a short and hectic week for work in Cincinnati. It was good to be with family during the anniversary but I had to leave Riri/Kids for this business trip on Monday.
Some new insights this week:
  1. Use of Aromatherapy and little bit of Yoga did help in alleviating the impact of Jet Lag. For last 2 days, I have been to bed before 9pm and been awake at 4am.
  2. I bought two CDs. They seem to be effective. First, CD on sleep which provides certain music to enable your brain to relax. Tried it for one evening and it seemed to work. Today, I tried Pranayam CD. It created a new feeling, especially, on the front side of my face. Very positive. Let's see if this continues to get better.
  3. Eating habit is relatively good. Only mistake was lunch at Indian restaurant yesterday, a bit heavy. I decided not to eat anything after that - till the breakfast today morning. No headaches so far despite jet lag - perhaps due to all of the efforts above - including short walk in the Sun when I got time.
This is my new team, representing Asia (myself, taking over from Benj), Europe (2 people), Latin America (1 person) and North America (1 person)
I am meeting Naresh Amineni tomorrow (Friday evening) so will have chance to relax and talk with him. He is 2.5 hours away so I have told him not to bring his family but meet somewhere mid-way (where I can drive).

Anshu has moved to new level in swimming by passing the test this month. Tvishi is also regular and needs assurance that it is ok to fail but not ok to give up. We need to be patient with her. She was not attentive when talking to me on the phone yesterday. However, she loved the short trip we made last weekend and was very happy. I have taken some small goodies for them - especially for travel to India.
I am a bit behind on some work and may need to catch up on that - even while in India. Nothing serious though.
